Designing a new business on the threshold of the 21st Century must of necessity be a different exercise than designing one 100, 50 or even 10 years ago.  As we move forward we must embrace the realization that different criteria are being measured and different standards upheld.  The world expects more from us today than it ever has in terms of responsibility, sustainability and balance.  Still, it will always be just a work in progress and our efforts must constantly be put towards doing the best that we can.

  • We who are involved in this business are intent upon profitably operating an ethically minded business, which seeks to understand the collective negative impact on the world and through that understanding work to neutralize it.
  • We are intent upon harnessing the medium of good wine, a passion for history and a hunger for experience to steward the creation of a place of strength and beauty in the world and make of that place a model of learning through shared experience.
  • We are intent that our management, employees, staff, suppliers, customers, clients, neighbors and Micro-Leaseholders will all be given the opportunity to play active, interesting, participative and informed roles in the activities undertaken.

Objectives

  • Make excellent wine, hand-picked and hand-crafted every day, every year.
  • Create new opportunities for experiences in wine, history and living.
  • Make sure a good measure of that experience is joyful.
